Unlike top-down computing circuits, the brain has evolved to be the product of hundreds of millions of years of competition between efficiency and cost. It is not designed but is a great miracle of intellectual evolution and a complex system left by development and selection in the vast history. Different species also evolved other brain area structures adapting to various environmental changes.
I am currently a PhD student in the Brain-inspired Cognitive Intelligence Lab. My research interests focus on brain-inspired evolutionary models.
Realizing a brain-like spiking neural network model with self-organizing, self-learning, self-adapting, and self-evolution capabilities is of great significance to the study of evolutionary neural networks and to revealing the evolutionary nature of the network structure of complex brain systems.
