Research Interests

Biological brains have evolved over hundreds of millions of years to develop and learn autonomously to adapt to dynamically changing environments, thus enabling self-organized collaboration of multiple cognitive functions to achieve continual learning, autonomous evolution, and adaptive development. Motivated by this, I am generally interested in Brain-inspired Evolution and Development, Decision-making Spiking Neural Networks.

My current research interests focus on the following directions:

  • Multi-scale Biological Plasticity Coordinated Spiking Neural Network.
  • Brain-inspired Evolutionary Spiking Neural Network.
  • Brain-inspired Developmental Spiking Neural Network.
  • Nature-inspired Social Robotics.
  • Multi-task Continual Learning and Adaptive Reinforcement Learning.

My long-term goal is to construct brain-inspired spiking neural networks to reveal the evolutionary and developmental mechanisms of brain structure and function, realizing multi-brain areas coordinated decision-making spiking neural network, exploring online learning, continual learning, and reversal learning in dynamic environment, and applying them to UAVs individual and swarm intelligent decision-making tasks.
